What is BaXoXe?

Drawing its name from the Zulu & Xhosa word for “chat”, Baxoxe was devised in 2014 by the Greenside Design Center as an event for creatives to meet, network, and chat. Baxoxe is hosted live in Johannesburg by Openroom.TV. The host of the show is Desmond Laubscher (Founder of GDC). Baxoxe provides a platform where people can show and share their work in a relaxed and informal environment.

This is not an open mic event or an elevator pitch event where anything goes. Good presentations are the ones that uncover the unexpected – creative ideas that showcase South African talent. Some tell great stories about a project or a trip, some are incredibly personal, some are incredibly funny, but all are very different.

Enjoy a drink and snacks while getting lots of inspiration
